460 Silverton in Winter
A fairy tale come true as the mighty 480 class engines tackle a mantle of dazzling white in a living memory of an age that ended with our grandfathers. 481 digs in for a run over the high line and up the Animas Canyon to Teft Spur.
OY Rotaries on Cumbres
In the heyday of the Cumbres line, the Rio Grande kept two rotaries ready on each side of the pass: OM the first narrow gauge rotary ever built in Chama, and OY, the last, in Antonito. They ordered the world’s only narrow gauge spreader, OU, to shuttle back and forth over the pass beating back the walls of snow. In this DVD you will see all three of these unique pieces of equipment. See the only surviving narrow gauge snow fighting tools anywhere, in letter-perfect condition as they tackle the drifts from the Chama side of the pass. Only from Sunday River.
